Olive Oil: Take ¼ cup of pure olive oil and warm at low temperature for two minutes. When it is heated, massage your scalp with your fingers. Leave the oil in your hair for about 15-20 minutes then brush your hair with natural bristle hairbrush to loosen the dandruff scales. Thereafter wash your hair with quality herbal shampoo. There are so many medicated shampoos available in the market for the treatment of dandruff. Beware of selecting the shampoo for your hair. Fenugreek (Methi) Seeds: Soak two tablespoons of fenugreek seeds overnight in a bowl of water. Grind the soaked seeds into a paste. The paste should be massaged all over the scalp and left it there for about an hour. Thereafter wash your hair with herbal shampoo.
Tea Tree Oil: This is a natural form of antiseptic, it works great for dandruff. Add 2-3 tablespoons of tea tree oil into your regular shampoo. Then mix well before using your shampoo as normal. Most importantly, you will have to shake your shampoo bottle before each use if the oil does not fully mix.
Fresh Lime Juice: This is one of the great home remedies for treating dandruff. A teaspoon of fresh lime juice can be applied into your scalp and thereafter hair should be washed. Fresh lime juice removes excessive oil and dirt from the scalp thereby preventing the formation of flakes and also gives a good shine to hair.
