Saferpedia.eu encyclopedia is developed in the Sigur.info project and it officially has over 1000 terms and definitions about online safety, IT, Internet and technology. So it became a very useful tool for teachers and students in their activity at school.

Saferpedia.eu is the only online encyclopedia that contains mostly terms & definitions related to children’s online safety. The main purpose of this encyclopedia is to form a data base of terms and definitions dedicated to online safety, Internet and new technologies. Â

Saferpedia.eu is addressing specially to children and teachers. For teachers it is a very useful tool that can be used in class when talking about Internet safety or about new online and mobile technologies.Â
For students, Saferpedia is a source of information. Information they can find here will help them understand better the main online risks and also they’ll find materials and reports on children’s online safety.

“žSince it was launched, in 2010, until now, we managed to gather and develop in Saferpedia EN and RO over 1000 definitions and terms and recently we introduced a new section, very interesting for young people: Gadgets IT (only for the Romanian version). Saferpedia is developed in the Sigur.info – SaferInternet RO project, implemented inRomania by Sigur.info Consortium and supported by European Union and by now it has two different linguistic variants: Romanian and English.

All definitions and terms included in Saferpedia.eu were inserted by specialized editors and volunteers that wanted to get involved in realizing and developing the encyclopedia. Every term and definition has been proofed by Saferpedia’s editors.
