London, October 2013 — Over the past few weeks’ anticipation had been growing steadily as to when the new single “Liquid Night” from the upcoming album ‘Songs to Sleep On’ would have been released.
Lucas O’Connell a singer songwriter from New Zealand has just released his brand new single called “Liquid Night” and teamed up with Oliver Buckworth who is a film director to produce the amazing video for the new single.
Having reviewed the video here at Best Music video Promotion it took us back to a time when real effort and thought went into the production and creation of any great music video reminiscent of sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel.
We recently met up with Lucas and ask about the project and the influence by which he credits his style and he acknowledged that Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake, and Jack Kerouac were his main influences and believes that poetry is the cornerstone of his soft, alternative folky musical style.
Oliver Buckworth who directed and was the animator, and editor of the video recently won an award for his part in directing ‘Melbourne Town’ by Julia Rose. Oliver now specialises in fluid stop-motion filming, as can be seen at the amazing ending of Liquid Night and we can only imagine what more is to come from the release of the album ‘Songs to Sleep On’ by Lucas.
In the interview with Lucas we also ask about tours or gigs and any planned dates that had been set for him to start the promotion of his new album and he mention that the UK and Ireland are booked towards the end of 2013, stay tuned for specific dates.
