Born in West Africa, Zarah is the granddaughter of a former Liberian ambassador to America. She relocated to the United States at the age of four.
Raised in Maryland but currently residing in North Carolina, Zarah has been singing since the tender age of seven. Having taken interest at a young age, one could tell she was driven to become a performer from early on. She polished her vocal skills at Suitland’s Performing Arts High School (Maryland) where she was classically trained in vocal performance.
More than just another pretty face with a pretty voice, Zarah is a star.
This brown-eyed beauty embodies true talent not often found in mainstream music. With a smooth combination of Pop, R&B and Soul all will be mesmerized by Zarah.
Adding to her repertoire, she began professionally training in dance at the age of six. As a result of that, she had the opportunity to become a BET “Teen Summit” dancer and also had the fortunateness to choreograph a number of musicals and dance showcases.
Zarah has performed at numerous events, including NFL Banquets (Washington D.C.) The Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.)
The Fright House (New York) and several others. Her influences are Janet Jackson, Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Tracie Spencer and Terry Ellis, just to name a few.
Aside from believing in its commercial appeal, Zarah is committed to keeping her music soulful, and honest by writing or co-writing her songs. A diva-to-be (minus the attitude), Zarah is a unique, truly humble, inventive, and talented person.
