05, January 2015: 2014 closes out the 3rd Annual “Turkeys for Troops” and the “Camp Pendleton Annual Christmas Toy Drive” hosted by, Navy veteran Rich Luisi, founder of Premiere Financial and Our Hero’s Journey in Carlsbad, CA.
He began holding charity events for the military in 2011. Specifically this year, both the Turkeys for Troops and the Camp Pendleton Annual Christmas Toy Drive event directly took care of 75 families who are part of the 5th Battalion, 11th Marines.
On Nov 18, 2014, Rich and his wife delivered 75 turkeys and bags of Thanksgiving groceries to the Camp Pendleton Marines. The turkeys were donated by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians. The groceries that filled the bags came from many local North County businesses.
On December 19th at the LeatherNeck Lanes Bowling alley, Luisi and Kelly hand delivered boxes full of toys to over 400 people in attendance.
Luisi, who served 11 years during Desert Storm in the US Navy on the USS Ranger, still lives by the military creed of “Not self but country”. After leaving the Navy, Luisi decided to continue to support active duty, reserve and retired military through his work as the Executive Financial Director of Premiere Financial, located in Carlsbad, just north of San Diego, CA.
Luisi loves supporting these military families. He values the sacrifices these families make to year round. His care is evident when you see him talking to the families at these events or even in his VA Home Loan Office year round.
His passion extends to time beyond the normal ’9 to 5′. The charity events Luisi heads up each year reflect the other side of his belief in “Not self but country”. Rich Luisi, along with his wife Kelly, founded the non-profit called Our Hero’s Journey, as a way to also give back, support and serve local military and their families.
His deep desire is to help military personnel and their families in many other ways, especially financial.
