New Delhi; 28, March 2015: Delhi International School, Rohini celebrated Graduation Ceremony for the first batch of kids moving on from kindergarten to Class 1. The event was attended by parents who were as excited as the kids themselves when they saw their little ones dressed up in convocation gowns receiving certificates on stage. The kids received their graduation certificates from Mrs. Priyanka Barara, Head of School, DIS Rohini.
The ceremony had quite a buzz about it as there were scintillating performances of young kids of class nursery who were bidding farewell and class 1st and Class 2nd who were welcoming the kindergarten kids. The theme of the event was celebrating childhood i.e. the golden period which will never come back. The event started with traditional Saraswati Vandana. Kids also performed on the stories such as Cinderella and Tarzan and Jane.
According to Mr. Rajat Goel, Chairman, DIS Rohini, “We would like to re-emphasize the commitment of our school towards ensuring that each and every child at DIS evolves into a better global citizen and achieves success in his or her life. I would also like to congratulate the teachers and staff of DIS Rohini for putting up such a wonderful show.”
Addressing the parents Mrs. Priyanka Barara, Head of School, DIS Rohini, said “It is our constant endeavor to help these young kinds evolve as responsible citizens. Parents should lead their children towards independence. They should give the child the courage to face the problems of life. Support your children in a manner that they get prepared for the road rather than preparing the road for them.”
“Parents were also invited on stage to participate in various activities such as paper dance, blow & burst the balloon, stick the bindi etc. Children enjoyed seeing their parents participate and cheered for them as well,” added Mr. Rohit Gupta, Director, Administration, DIS, Rohini.
