Orlando, FL — April 8, 2015 — Sleep is probably one of the things that many people value the most but don’t get enough of. Sleep is especially important to human health, and this is why doctors always recommend that people should strive to have a good quality sleep.

A study found that there is a potential connection between lack of sleep and the occurrence of morning pain and stiffness among rheumatoid arthritis sufferers. According to the study, patients tend to experience the discomfort in the morning, because the condition can interfere with their circadian rhythms. These rhythms pertain to the internal 24-hour human body clock that impacts a person’s quality and quantity of sleep.

The Annual Congress of the European League Against Rheumatism, or EULAR, presented a study that revealed the findings of scientists from Japan. The study revealed the presence of a specific genetic pathway that was believed to be the reason why there was an interaction between arthritis symptoms and the human body clock.

According to the lead author and chairman of The Center for Rheumatic Diseases at Kobe University Hospital in Japan, it is possible that identifying the pathway can help explain the reason behind the 24-hour symptom cycle in patients who experience worsening of joint pain and stiffness in the mornings.

“There were researchers who studied 200 individuals who suffered from rheumatoid arthritis and who were from Japanese hospitals. They found that 61 percent of the patients experienced significant disturbances in their sleep. They also added that those who suffered from more active arthritis experienced more sleep disturbance,” said VitaBreeze Supplements spokesperson, Michelle O’Sullivan.

Rex MacCallum, M.D., Duke University Medical Center’s professor of medicine in the Division of Rheumatology, believes that the study is trying to say that people who have active rheumatoid arthritis are more likely to sleep less and wake up more. They suffer from inflammation and this causes pain and stiffness that can interfere with sleep. He recommends that patients get plenty of sleep and rest.

Pain is a common problem among arthritis patients. However, many of them use supplements to improve their condition and achieve pain relief. Curcumin supplements are some of the most popular natural alternatives for arthritis patients today. This option is believed to be very effective in helping people regain their mobility, in addition to achieving pain relief. Patients tend to like using this natural alternative because, unlike drugs, it doesn’t cause side effects (http://www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-BioPerine-Bio-availability/dp/B00JA4TLTI).
