About John F. Zavell, MD, FACS
Dr. John Zavell is a board-certified plastic surgeon that believes plastic surgery should be a positive and meaningful experience. Dr. Zavell has practiced plastic surgery in Toledo, Ohio since 1993. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Zavell attended college and medical school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After graduation, he completed his residency in general surgery at the Medical College of Ohio, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and was voted the Outstanding Resident Teacher twice. He performed his plastic surgery residency at Providence Hospital and the affiliated Institute for Craniofacial and Reconstructive Surgery.
