Buffalo, New York - Based just outside of Buffalo, NY in the small town of Williamsville, Three 2 Go Music is delivering on their slogan, “Independent and Proud.” This powerhouse music label and publishing company is excited to introduce three diverse new releases to the international music stage in 2017: J-Bella All For Nothin; Omeri Day Dream’n; and E-Life 7 Featuring Mike Pennick Miked Up. All from Western NY, each artist has a unique musical style and sound. Although Buffalo is known for being the home of the late funk legend Rick James, these artists share a common passion for music while carving out new musical paths that are each their own. All for Nothin, Day Dream’n, and Miked Up will release worldwide March 24, 2017, in stores and online.
J-Bella is an artist and singer/songwriter who has made singing a passion that has influenced every facet of her life. Growing up listening to artists like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, J-Bella doesn’t sing just to be heard, but has even gone so far as to put her personal diary into lyrics from her new album All For Nothin, ensuring that every word is sung from the heart. Additional musical influences include Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson. “I love how they tell stories with their songs while they simultaneously blow audiences away with the beauty of their sound,” says J-Bella.
J-Bella has performed in various venues, including Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, Coca-Cola Field, The Music Room, Starfield’s Cafe, The David Allen TV Show and The Historic Colored Musicians Club. Whether she is supporting local charity drives for large research efforts like Roswell Park Cancer Institute (which she frequents with her grandma), or spreading love and life through her music, J-Bella is driven to contribute to things bigger than herself. Following in the historic footsteps of the greats that have preceded her, J-Bella is poised to blaze a whole new trail with All For Nothin. There is plenty more to see from Jessica, and Three 2 Go Music is proud to introduce her memorable lyrics and emotional delivery to the world.
Omeri is a fantastic artist, singer, and songwriter inspired by the 70’s R&B and pop classics that consistently played on the radio in his childhood home. He grew up singing along and eventually began to cultivate his own sound, writing original compositions and entertaining his friends. In addition to 70’s R&B and pop, the influences of John Mayer, Darius Rucker, Kem, and Lauryn Hill are clearly heard in his music. Omeri’s debut album Day Dream’n features catchy hooks and colorful hypnotic melodies, and will have listeners nodding their heads and tapping their feet as they enjoy the lyrics.
Raised in the inner city of Buffalo, Omeri’s turbulent teen years brought new experiences and the aspiration to dance and perform professionally. He spent time developing his assorted skills and auditioned for Americas Best Dance Crew, purchased his first guitar, and continues to write and perform music to this day. Three 2 Go Music prides itself on being dedicated to the development of young talent, and were quick to sign the immensely gifted and charismatic Omeri.
E-Life 7 Featuring Michael Pennick (EL7) unites some of Western NY’s finest musicians on their debut release Miked Up, including Michael Pennick on bass, Rodney Spears & Charlie Crymes Jr. on keyboards, guitarist Ron Walker, and drummer and percussionist Tim Webb. Special appearances by Ken Whitman (tenor sax), Walter Kemp III, Van Taylor (keyboards), Joey Diggs and Dee Osbourne (vocals) round out this stellar new 12-track album that spans Jazz, Soul, and R&B, all with a sound that remains unique to EL7. EL7 is the brainchild of Ron Walker and Mike Pennick, both long time members of Buffalo Music Hall of Fame R&B recording artists The Exoutics.
While contemplating their musical future, longtime friends Ron and Mike decided it was time to explore their Jazz alter egos and discover what lies beneath the tender ballads and funky R&B grooves they had been writing for years. EL7 acknowledges the musical and spiritual influence of past and present members of The Exoutics, and after a brief discussion, it was agreed that their next project would highlight the talent of bassist Mike Pennick. Eventually, this led to the formation of EL7. The resulting album captures the flavor and passion of each musician, and audiences will enjoy and appreciate this special blend of Jazz and R&B. Miked Up covers the gamut of emotions, from the rhythm shifting jazz funk of “Chaos,” to the fun-filled, upbeat, and playful “Sunday Night.” The remake of Stevie Wonder’s “That Girl” and the intimate revelations of “Inner Beauty” and “Before the Storm” make this CD a pleasure to listen to, sure to appeal to the most demanding pallet. Enjoy Life, 7 days a week.
J-Bella All For Nothin, Omeri Day Dream’n, and E-Life 7 Miked Up will each be released worldwide March 24, 2017, in stores and online.
