On the left above is a Christian Louboutin sandal with pink suede straps edged stitch-in-the-ditch style with yellow leather piping, a black suede insole, and a lavender suede platform and heel. The rectangular buckle is also covered in purple suede. On the right is a Jessica Simpson sandal with pink suede straps edged stitch-in-the-ditch style with yellow leather piping, a black suede insole, and a lavender suede platform and heel. The rectangular buckle is also covered in purple suede. Or maybe the Louboutin is on the right and the Jessica Simpson is on the left? Honestly, I can’t tell them apart.

See our round-up of the too-hot-to-handle Christian Louboutin fall 2012 shoes. Notice the signature femininity and elegance these pumps and ankle booties were created with.

Jessica Simpson herself wears the knock-offs in a new ad for her shoe line, which as one blogger noted runs in the current issue of Elle “” one of the same magazines to highlight the Staratatas when they came out. It seems hard to imagine that the similarity between these shoes could have been coincidental.

Simpson’s new shoe, the “Evangela,” retails for $98.  Christian Louboutin Replica Â shoe was called the “Staratata,” and it was released in 2010. And it quickly became a well-known shoe: lots of celebrities promptly wore it, and dozens of magazines included it in their editorial coverage. The Staratata retailed for $995 and sold out. The design was subsequently re-released in a variety of new colors.

Christian Louboutin is currently engaged in a legal fight to defend the trademark it holds on the use of the red sole in footwear “” the red sole being the one design element Simpson’s licensee, Camuto Group, did not copy. Because clothing and accessories are not currently eligible for any copyright protection in the U.S., the Jessica Simpson sandal probably isn’t breaking any laws. Still tacky as fuck, though
