Bangalore: Daily Rounds, a platform that enables doctors to learn and share clinical cases has hit 100,000 users, thus making it the largest doctor network in India.
“We signed up our 100,000th user recently and we are very much excited at where we are going”, said Dr. Deepu Sebin, CEO.
Daily Rounds provides a mobile application of the same name that is available on both Android and iOS. The app lets doctors get a daily stream of clinical cases on their phones. This enables them to learn and keep updated as well as share interesting cases with other doctors on the platform.
The app updates daily and is interactive, as opposed to the traditional medical journals. There is a friction free case submission system that enables users to publish their cases on the app easily. The content first goes through a thorough editorial process before it is published to ensure content quality and accuracy. Cases are also gamified that makes it more interesting to the users. Users can challenge themselves or invite peers to the challenge and also track their performance. The app is completely free for use.
“Some of the best doctors and developers have come together at Daily Rounds to build something that doctors love”, said Dr. Sebin.
Daily Rounds was launched in mid 2014 and has been growing rapidly since. They also have an active Facebook group with more than 98,000 doctors. With the large doctor user base, there are multiple things possible like pharma analytics, e-detailing and job listings for doctors.
“We see a big opportunity here. We are already the largest in India and expanding globally. We are looking at ways to leverage our unique standing and grow further”, Dr. Sebin added.
Doctor networks are finding great interest globally, with pharma and medical devices industries looking for specific digital channels to reach doctors.
