West Hempstead, New York; 11, August 2015: Hailing from New York, Emile Lapaix Jr., stage name E-Reign has been cultivating his own lyrical art since age 10. Influenced by prolific hip hop artists of the 90s such as 2pac and NAS, E-Reign always admired their use words to communicate higher meaning, to create vision and influence listeners. It is this power with words that has established him as a key part of the future of New York-based hip hop music.
From humble beginnings as part of a small group of recording artists in a New York basement studio, E-Reign had access to the tools and connections needed to foster his own solo career. In 2013 E-Reign co-founded his own independent label by the name of ESM Entertainment along with his engineer K Roc. In only a short period of time, people began paying attention. In 2014, he received the Performance Artist of the Year award from Forbes Magazine and was featured in Hype Magazine and Hip Hop Weekly publications as well as being heard on numerous radio stations across the United States.
Since then, E-Reign has performed over 50 times across the east coast, maintaining strong ties in the Manhattan area. It is this drive and dedication that has allowed him to perform alongside prominent names in the New York underground such as DJ Kay Slay, Jae Millz, Jason Fox, and many others. His new single “Serious”, released on July 6, 2015 is his latest in E-Reign’s visionary sound, solidifying his place in the hip hop scene of New York. Unapologetic, relentless, and meaningful, “Serious” provides listeners with an upbeat tempo, impeccable flow, and intelligent lyrics that stray far from the beaten path.
Over the next few months, E-Reign plans to gear up for an overseas tour and promote his L3 (Longevity, Loyalty, Love) clothing line. He will also release numerous singles, which will appear on his debut album yet to be announced. Listeners can hear “Serious” and other tracks by E-Reign on WKMT Dagr8FM, Hard Boddy, Radio Supa, K100, ARs Atlanta, and DJ M Breeze Radio.
