25, August 2016: Kambiz Mostofizadeh will be playing in an action based full length feature film to be filmed in Asia starting early to mid-2017.
The film is based around a travelling Karate teacher (played by Kambiz Mostofizadeh) that arrives in an embattled Japanese village looking for work. The movie will be action packed, fast paced and will have hundreds of actors in it.
Kambiz Mostofizadeh is a former protégé of world famous martial artist Simon Rhee (Lethal Weapon IV, Blade, Blade 2, Inception, and others). Kambiz started as a child under his tutelage and continued on his teens, studying under 7th Degree Black Belt Simon Rhee. The influence of the Simon Rhee style is readily apparent when watching Kambiz perform kicking techniques. The fluidity in his form, rapidity of his techniques, and his signature leaping attack techniques will surely excite viewers of his new movie. The production teams are currently scouting for locations and are in the process of selecting areas for set design and development. The large cast, in depth fight choreography, and its high tempo action packed style has begun attracting attention from international distributors. Catching up with him in his busy training schedule, Kambiz said “50 million or more people practice Karate. I received my Karate Black Belt 1st Dan in March of 2003. I am excited to show martial arts enthusiasts the range of Karate so I am very enthusiastic that this new movie will be something that is fresh, new, and stimulating. I am training very hard for this role and I want to give martial arts lovers something that will be timeless and innovative.” The movie is set to start filming in early to mid-July with possible release dates being late 2017 to early 2018.
