20 August, 2014: The results of the highly influential and accurate Ski Club of Great Britain Industry Report and Survey are in and show the popular Alps ski resort of La Tania is fourth in the category of ‘Most Recommended Resort’ in the global division. The place puts La Tania just behind such notable and impressive contenders as Whistler, Obergurgl and Banff. 

An Impressive Result for La Tania 

Respondents of the said survey included hundreds of skiers and snowboarders, and within the European division the resort actually lands second place. The survey’s result further cements the popular resort’s reputation in terms of facilities, ongoing improvements, and the comfort and cosiness of their versions of a ski chalet. La Tania is also scheduled for further improvements, making it a must-visit destination for keen skiers. 

Topping the improvements in the La Tania resort is the new €7-million high-speed six-seater chairlift, which has replaced the Bouc Blanc draglift. The new lift features a detachable chair and is capable of ferrying up to 2,700 skiers every hour. Some of the slow chairs in the resort’s lift system have been removed, with alternative routes opened up. Consequently, the resort is soon to release new brochures and piste maps to reflect these improvements and to give skiers complete and helpful information. 

When it comes the virtues of a well-appointed ski chalet, La Tania’s accommodations have garnered much praise from the survey’s respondents. According to the answers, they are very affordable (given its reputation as a ‘highly recommended’ ski resort), without the often-prohibitive price barriers of those in neighbouring ritzier ski resorts.
