July 21, 2014: The busserull shirt, which used to be a common work-shirt in Norway about 150 years ago, is back in the news again, with a new Kickstarter Project started by Ingvill Montgomery of Hovden Formal Farm Wear. Ingvill believes that the Norwegian shirt will appeal to the new generation in 2014, and is expecting a huge response from the fashionable folks on the planet. The project has a funding goal of $12,000, and the project will end on August 9, 2014. The project is already open and till then, it has 67 backers and who have contributed $7,967 in total.
The busserull was a loose and comfortable shirt for the factory workers and farmers to work in an easy manner. The shirt featured unique patterns, made of square and rectangular pieces of clothes. However, patterns and designs varied from farm to farm and from village to village. But in all forms, the objective was to avoid the wastage of clothes and patterns were thus selected. When Hovden found the busserull, they deconstructed it and reconstructed with new patterns to offer a new and exciting fashion to the modern generation. And this new campaign will certainly prove helpful in popularizing this old shirt among the new-age consumers.
One can support the project with a minimum amount of $1 only. However, one can contribute with bigger amounts as well and the maximum pledge is $3,000. Hovden is looking for only one backer for a $3,000 pledge. Each backer will be entitled to receive different rewards that will depend on the amount of the contribution. For example, for a pledge of $100, one will receive a 100% linen Hovden Formal Farm Wear busserull shirt and a post card. And a backer with $250 contribution will receive a 100% linen and a 100% woolen busserull shirt of his/her choice as a reward for supporting the project.
Hovden Formal Farm Wear is confident to achieve the goal well-within the set deadline to popularize an old-age clothing among the people in the contemporary world.
