Sophie Breitmeyer is among the names picked to feature on F&L Designer Guides, a new web-based hub for the most exciting engagement ring and bridal jewellery designers in the United Kingdom. 

The London-based designer first piqued the interest of the portal’s editors when they noticed her unique approach to engagement jewellery design. Sophie Breitmeyer takes inspiration not only from art and jewellery, but from every form of media. Recent sources of inspiration included a portrait of Queen Elizabeth I, which inspired an entire range of engagement rings that the designer called the Serpentine Collection. 

However, despite this penchant for being influenced by less traditional media, the London-based jeweller makes it a point to keep her pieces extremely classical-looking and traditional, at least from a distance. Up-close inspection reveals a wealth of details not immediately apparent at first glance, which in turn help give Breitmeyer’s works an entirely new dimension. Furthermore, the designer tries whenever possible to add a unique and individual touch to each client’s ring, which helps make that stone truly theirs and set it apart from her other creations, not to mention every other ring on the market. 

Sophie Breitmeyer’s stone of choice is the coloured diamond, which further contributes to the traditionally elegant look her rings boast. The designer prides herself on having found unconventional and creative ways to incorporate these stones into her pieces, whilst still keeping them affordable for the general public. Many of her creations hinge around uniquely-cut black, yellow or brown diamonds set on a blended gold base, giving the jewels the sort of classic look that a large portion of the engagement ring buying public seeks.
