SteadyWebâ„¢5 Digital Tension Controller

This closed-loop digital tension controller maintains set tension on the web in any zone to improve process consistency. A large, backlit LCD display with color graphics simplifies setup and configuration so production management can get machine operators trained in less time. The large front-panel knob allows quick and easy navigation and tension adjustment.

    This compact, low-cost tension indicator amplifies the web tension signal from tension transducers in a machine’s web path, displays the tension on an analog or digital meter, and provides an isolated 0-to-10 Vdc tension signal output, for use, if desired, with a PLC, drive, or controller. Features include:

    Tension Roll® and Narrow Web Transducers in More Sizes

    With the Tension Roll Transducer for standard dual-sided machines and the cantilever-mounted Narrow Web Transducer for single-frame machines, quick-and- easy installation and high accuracy becomes possible, thanks to the combination of an idler roll and two tension sensors in one unit.

    These transducers also feature durable construction, corrosion-resistance, and your choice of roll finish. Each transducer type is available in 3 roll diameters and a range of widths to accommodate webs 6″ (152mm) and larger. Choose either single-bolt mounting or four-bolt flange. Tension Roll® and Narrow Web Transducers also offer:
