06 June, 2014: —Emerson College Los Angeles has announced that it will offer the Bobbi Brown Program in Makeup Artistry workshop this summer—Monday, August 4—Friday, August 8.
Inspired by the legendary makeup artist, cosmetics entrepreneur, and Emerson alumna Bobbi Brown, the weeklong workshop titled the Fundamentals of Makeup Artistry teaches step-by-step application techniques through intensive classroom study and practice.
The workshop takes place at Emerson College Los Angeles (5960 West Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles) Monday, August 4—Friday, August 8, 10:00 am—6:00 pm. The course fee is $1,900 per person; students receive 3 credits upon completion. Enrollment in Makeup Artistry professional courses is open to individuals who have earned a high school diploma or GED.
Participants in Fundamentals of Makeup Artistry will develop their makeup artistry abilities—whether exploring a career in the field or looking to enhance his or her personal life skills. And, this year’s participants will get to experience the newly opened Emerson College Los Angeles campus and its state-of-the-art facilities.
Led by Diana Lendzion, Education and Artistry executive for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics (who has more than 13 years of experience in makeup artistry in fashion shows and television, working with celebrities and photographers), the workshop teaches fundamentals of makeup, including techniques for makeup for photography. Through lessons, demonstrations, and practical application, participants will learn about angles, lighting, and other specific goals of portrait and fashion photographers.
