VirtoSoftware announces a new version of Virto SharePoint Workflow Kit -- no-code set of SharePoint activities for creating custom workflow in SharePoint Workflow Designer.

San Francisco, CA, March 10, 2010 -- VirtoSoftware announces a new version of Virto SharePoint Workflow Kit (http://www.virtosoftware.com/extended-workflow-activities-for-sharepoint-designer.aspx)-- no-code set of SharePoint activities for creating custom workflow in SharePoint Workflow Designer. The Workflow Kit, which is now compatible with Microsoft SharePoint 2010, is extended with a range of new document management activities.

Microsoft SharePoint allows for customizing business processes with more than 30 standard activity blocks. However, the standard set of activities is not always sufficient for organizing specific business processes. With its new add-on for Microsoft SharePoint, Virto SharePoint Workflow, Virtosoftware expands the range of the standard SharePoint activities, providing SharePoint users with wider opportunities for creating custom activity sets, and thus, more flexible customization of business processes. The Workflow Kit is a set of permanently developing and extending no-code and ready-to-use activity blocks that you can easily add to SharePoint Designer and build your own workflow within a minute. Now it includes a wide set of e-mail, instant messaging, active directory, sms, text, info path, http and site management activities.

Virto SharePoint Workflow Kit 2.6 is extended with three new activities that you can now use to design your own workflow:

* Free "Get parent folder ID" to return list item id of the parent folder of an item;
* "Get parent folder name" to return name of the parent folder of an item;
* "Get parent folder URL" to return the Web site-relative URL of the parent folder of an item.

What is more important is the compatibility of the new version with Microsoft SharePoint 2010. We release a special beta version of Virto Workflow Kit 2.6 for SharePoint 2010 (http://www.virtosoftware.com/extended-workflow-activities-for-sharepoint-designer.aspx). The commercial version will be available once SharePoint 2010 is officially released. Virto Workflow Kit is the first component by Virtosoftware that is compatible with SharePoint 2010.
